From September 19 to 22, 2006 the 11. Annual European Conference «GMW06» of the Society for Media in Science (GMW) will be held at ETH and Zurich University in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Society for Media in Science (GMW) in its function as a scientific professional association is concerned with research, development, production and application of information and communication media in university teaching and continuing education.

The conference 2006 is jointly hosted by the two universities of Zurich, Zurich University and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).

At € 100 000, the highest European prize for E-Learning, the didactically oriented Medida Prix is awarded at the GMW conference. It is financed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER), the BMBF and the BMBWK.
